| JPPF celebrates J&K State Foundation Day | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 16: Jammu Province Peoples Forum- an amalgam of social, commercial, and other organizations, a strong voice of Dogras and a common platform of all civil society members to raise a united voice for the welfare of the people of Jammu province, celebrated J&K state foundation day by organizing a programme at its office where a large number of people from different organizations participated in the event, Paviter Singh while addressing a press regarding celebration of J&K state foundation day on 16 march, he said that since inception of the J&K state no one bothered to celebrate this historic day of importance and we are astonished to see that the public has almost forgotten that when and how this beautiful state came into existence, even the Government never bothered to organize a function on this historic day.
JPPF started celebrating this day since last five years and trying to bring awareness among the masses of this state about the formation of Jammu and Kashmir State. We also feel it pertinent to mention here that when Kashmir centric political and other parties started raising questions on the accession of the state with the dominion of the India we took initiative of celebrating accession day on 26 October every year and now the accession day is celebrated in a big way not only in the state but outside the state too. Paviter Singh requested one and all specially Educational institutions and social organizations to celebrate the Raising Day every year with full enthusiasm and educate the coming generations about the history of the state, he along with team JPPF on this auspicious day demand that Governor of J&K state Should immediately intervene to instruct the concerned to start teaching Dogra History in schools. |
