| Students protest against shortage of teachers at Tilogra School | | |  Early Times Report
GANDOH, Mar 23: The students of Government High School Tilogra in Sub Division Gandoh today staged protest against the shortage of teachers in their school. The protesting students shouted slogans against education department and government holding them equally responsible for the non-availability of teaching staff in the schools.
Amid slogans, the protesting students blocked the vehicular movement on the Gandoh-Thathri-Doda road at Malik Pura. They were demanding adequate teaching staff in their schools.
The students informed that there was no class work in the schools because of non-availability of the adequate teaching staff. Students also informed that shortage of teachers at the School caused problems for the students, who came from remote areas of the Sub Division Gandoh to get education. Students blocked the main road for almost 2 hours following which the SDM Gandoh Pritam Lal Thapa reached the spot and listened to the problems being faced by the students. SDM ensured them that education department will fulfill all demands. The students lifted their dharna following an assurance by the authorities that required numbers of teachers would be posted at the school. |
