| Togadia's HND to contest Jammu-Poonch seat, Sudan gets mandate | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 23: Hindustan Nirmal Dal (HND) led by Dr Parveen Bhai Togadia has announced its decision to contest the parliamentary elections from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency.
Addressing a press conference here today, the HND leader Sushil Kumar Sudan, who has been chosen as party candidate from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha segment, said that in the interest of Hindutva and the protection of legitimate rights of the nation and Jammuites in particular, it has been decided unanimously by a team of party's central observers to contest the election of Member Parliament.
Sudan underlined the necessity to contest the elections because the BJP betrayed the people of Jammu by not fulfilling the expectations of common masses. He further emphasized that the people of Jammu region gave thumping majority to BJP in the Assembly and Parliament Elections but instead of protecting the interests of Jammu region, they supported the agenda of separatists with PDP and did nothing for the overall welfare of Jammu region except to implement the dictates of anti-national elements, thus, harming the interests of Jammu. The discriminatory attitude which was adopted by the previous governments led by Congress and National Conference continued by the coalition partners of BJP and PDP.
He said while the National Conference and PDP are anti-nationalist parties, having no empathy for Jammuites, the Congress and BJP miserably failed to redress the grievances of Jammu people hence at this time of adversity it has become incumbent upon nationalist party like Hindustan Nirmal Dal to contest the elections of Member Parliament from Jammu-Poonch constituency. The head of the Central Observer Committee Rameshwar Dass Tyagi asserted that if voted to power, the party will ensure prosperity, security and integrity of the nation. |
