Jammu, Mar 23: Police spokesman said that today a drug peddler was arrested near Shakuntala Crossing and poppy straw (bhukki) was recovered from his possession. "A team led by SHO Pacca Danga-Inspector Karan Chalotra, while on routine checking, apprehended a person identified as Mandeep Kumar of Kote Ranja Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Nowshehra, Punjab," spokesman adding that on his search, 3.79 kg of poppy straw (Bhukki) was recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case under FIR no 44/2019 under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Pacca Danga police station and investigation has been initiated. |
