Jammu, Apr 2: Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu, organized a condolence meeting today in its office to condole the death of Umesh Verma, a senior Painter, writer & poet. 83 year old artist, poet & writer Umesh Verma breathed his last on 29th March, 2019 in a hospital in New Delhi. He lived through the Delhi Art Scene for more than six decades by his creative presence and contributed to its richness substantially. His friends opine that it was a real pleasure watching him painting, singing or assembling objects to give vent to his feelings, ideas and thoughts. He worked at Garhi Studios of Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi for many years. The meeting was attended by Gokel Dembi, O P Sharma, Jang S Verman, D P Abrol, Sahil Bhardwaj, T S Batra, Kamal Nain Bhan, Amit Magotra, Vinay Bhardwa, Ashok Mehra, Shivani Koul, Atish Bhardwaj and Jaswant Singh. The members prayed God for the peace of departed soul and give courage his family to bear the irreparable loss. |
