jammu, Apr 2: This is in reference to the news items titled "Forest Deptt allows JCB to destroy green gold" published in Early Times in its March 27, 2019 edition. There are some corrections to make regarding the facts mentioned in the news items that the land on which JCB was used not belonged to Forest Department rather it was a private land measuring 18 kanals under Khasra No 199 as per Revenue Record which is on the name Majzoor Hussain son of Mohammad Din resident of Panchayt Kotli Hiri Block Akhnoor.
The fact remained that the JCB was not used to make new road rather it was used to clean the already existing road which was constructed around five years ago. The inquiry team consisted of Forest and Revenue Department established fact that no violation has been done. Error is regretted. |
