jammu, Apr 2: The Committee constituted by the State Government for drawing of the panel of names for the appointment of Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu will meet on 5th April, 2019 for short listing of the applications for the position of Vice-Chancellor. There are more than fifty applicants for the position. The post of Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu is lying vacant since 09th March, 2019. As per reports, there are number of applicants from the State, ICAR and other Universities.
Dr. A.K. Srivastava, Member, Agricultural Services Recruitment Board under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare, Government of India is also one of the applicants who was rejected for the post of Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu in 2012 for gross violations by indulging in embezzlements, irregular drawal of Non Practicing Allowance and anamolies as a Chairman of various committees at SKUAST-Jammu in the capacity of Dean, FVSc & AH and Dean, Post Graduate Studies during 2004 to 2008. For this State Vigilance Organization has registered number of cases as per para 12, 14 and 16 of Audit Report of Director General of Audit and Inspections, J&K. Besides,
