Jammu, Apr 6: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) staged 255 th Saturday Series Musical Play "Maa Vaishno" in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production and National College of Computer Education at open theatre Durga Bhawan Janipur Jammu. Musical Play Maa Vishno was held to celebrate Nine Days Chaitra Navtrata Festival 2019 and to promote the traditional folk cultural of J&K. During the Nine Day Navtra Festival, devotional programs will be presented like Bajan, Kirtan , one act play including Kanya Pujan on Nav Navratras. The function was inaugurated after lighting the traditional lamp by the Chief Guest Davinder Chadha, Head Pujari, Durga Bhawan Jammu and V.K.Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, K. K. Joshi, Vice Chairman BLSKS, Dr.Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, Health Department, J&K Government, J.K.Raina, Freelancer Producer Director and Dr. Anju Dogra from Health Department, J&K Government, Vinod Dogra chief service engineer, Exide were the Guests of Honor. The programme commenced with welcome song "Jai Jai Sheranwali", "Mayia he mahiya meri Mahiya ", "Tum Durga Tum Laxmi Tum Hi Maa Sheranwali". Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest said Navratri in India is a big religious festivity for nine propitious days. Celebration goes on for these favorable days with different rituals and customs in distinct parts. These nine days have a great significance in Hindu culture and religion. |
