Pakistan won't change, raises Article 370 bogey to provoke India | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 6: After remaining silent for nearly a month after Indian Air Force jets carried out airstrikes at terror camps in Balakot, Pakistan has again started talking about Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesman, Mohammad Faisal, while addressing the media in Islamabad on Friday said that Pakistan won't accept abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. "It will be in violation of the United Nation resolutions," he said. An analyst while talking to Early Times said that Pakistan has got no right to talk about Article 370 as it's India's internal matter. "It seems Pakistan is least interested in peace and want to keep the pot boiling by poking into the matters which don't fall in its domain," the analyst added. He said, "Attitude of Pakistan will never change. The crackdown on terrorists and its desire for peace is just eyewash. By talking about Kashmir again and again the neighbouring country has made its intentions very clear." The analyst said, "The action which Pakistan took against the terrorists after the Balakot airstrikes was aimed at hoodwinking the international community and avert the punitive strikes, which could have turned the neighbouring country into a history." Referring to the recent statement of the chairman of Pakistan People's Party Bilal Bhutto that three ministers in the Imran Khan's cabinet have direct links with "proscribed terrorist organisations" in the country, the analyst said, "What can you expect from a country where ministers are terrorist sympathizers and have come into power due to their support," he added. An observer termed the statement of Pakistan Foreign office spokesman as "absurd." "Such statements are unacceptable and direct interference in our internal matters. India has made it clear that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and no power on earth can snatch it from us. Pakistan should pay attention towards Balochistan and other regions where people have revolted against the system and are demanding that Pakistan should set them free," he added. The observer said that Pakistan should forget Jammu and Kashmir and put its house in order first. "This time around if Pakistan indulges in any sort of misadventure no power on earth can save it. Balakot was just a trailer and the full movie would mean that it would cease to exist," he added. A Kashmir watcher said that the mainstream politicians in Kashmir are providing a handle to Pakistan by raising contentious issues. "These politicians should refrain from talking about those issues which are detrimental for the national interests," he added. |
