BGSBU organizes workshop on Research Methodology

Jammu, Apr 12: School of Management Studies, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) organized a day long workshop on research methodology for research scholars, students and faculty members of the School.
Prof Naseem Ahmed, Dean of the School delivered the welcome address and highlighted the theme of the workshop. He said that the core objective of the workshop was to equip the research scholars with set of skills and potentiality to undertake the research very effectively in the disciplines of social science and to turn completed research into publishable material of high quality in the form of articles, journals and books.
Prof Masroor Ahmed Beg, Principal, Zakir Hussain College, Delhi University delivered the keynote address. Prof Masroor introduced the participants to the basic aspects of research, types of research on the basis of various parameters, importance and its characteristics. He also opened an insight about importance and procedure of conducting quality doctoral research. The speaker elaborated on important operational steps of doing a research such as formulating a research problem, specifying objectives, conceptualizing research design, collecting information from target groups, analyzing data and writing report. The workshop ended with question answer session. Around 60 scholars, students and teachers participated in the workshop.
