Curfew relaxed in Kishtwar on fourth day, few suspect rounded up | | | Asif Iqbal Naik
Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 12: After three days of continuous restrictions the authorities today relaxed the curfew in Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas. However, no relaxation was given in the central areas of Kishtwar including areas of New Bus Stand, Mini Bus Stand and the Gudhali Chowk area as well as areas of Matta, Hidyal, Shakti Nagar and Brahaman Mohalla. As soon as Curfew was relaxed, the people rushed to Kiryana and vegetable shops for purchasing the ration and stocking of essential commodities. The curfew hours however passed off peacefully. The restriction according to the officials will remain enforced tomorrow as well and authorities will decided about the lifting of the curfew and restoration of internet services tomorrow after assessing the security situation. Meanwhile the Search and Cordon Operation continue today as well and the main focus of the search was in and around Poochal Village along with the areas in and around the possible route used by the militants to escape after committing the crime. The sources told ET that Kishtwar police have detained several people including a dozen people who were present inside the hospital premises at the time of militant strike by killing the top RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma and his PSO. The sources said that on the bases of the leads given by the eyewitnesses, the Special Investigation Team headed by Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar has put some threads together that will lead towards the militants involved in the killings in Kishtwar High Security Zone. |
