jammu, Apr 29: Nagrota police foiled a major bivine smuggling bid and rescued 110 bovines from the clutches if smugglers.
Police spokesman said that today police party of Police Station Nagrota intercepted seven trucks bearing registration number JK03E-4433, JK02H-0787, JK02D-2566, JK02AL-5917, JK21C-3848, JK02AC-2576 and JK14A-6265.
"During the checking of the vehicles they were found loaded with bovine animals," said police spokesman adding that total 110 bovine animals have been rescued.
Five accused namely Zahid Ahmed Gnai of Chak Churtha Kulgam, Raes Ahmed of Soot Tangpura Kulgam, Shokat Mir of Barbal Rahamir Kulgam, Amzad Ahmed of Sirimarg Mazmun Anantnag and Shokat Ahmed of Larnoo Anantnag have been arrested.
In this connection cases under
FIR Nos. 163/2019, 164/2019,
165/2019, 166/2019, 167/2019,
168/2019, 169/2019 under sections 188of RPC 3/5 PCA Act have been registered in Nagrota police station. |
