2 clubbed schools of Pattan run in 3 rooms | | | S Tahir-ul Haq Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, May 31: Two schools in Pattan area, clubbed recently are running in three rooms, which according to the locals adversely affects the quality of education. A few years ago two institutions including Primary and Middle school in Chanpora Kanloo of Pattan area of Baramulla district is suffering for basic facilities, as the school has only two rooms accommodate the students. The senior citizens of the area have many times approached the concerned authorities for help, and recently a team of villagers met some political leaders who said that during Model Code of Conduct (MCC) he cannot help them, but will talk to the higher authorities of Education department, said sources. There is an accommodation crunch, even though the teachers of the schools have left no stone unturned, but they are of no option except to engage the students in just two to three rooms, and with the result students failed to learn or understand anything in the crowded atmosphere. A parent told Early Times that, the school administration had sent the requisition and other countless request to the department concerned to provide basic facilities and infrastructure, but the department is least bothered about the education of students, said parents. The parents said that other schools in the tehsil have all the facilities. If the basic facilities, there will be low enrollment of students and low results. |
