Jammu, May 31: Army Public School, Damana organized a summer camp in the school campus under the theme 'Become a New You', which concluded today. Approximately 140 children explored their potential and expressed their creativity in the field of Art, Painting, Pottery, Personality Development, Public Speaking, Yoga, Handwriting Improvement, Street Play and Nukkad Natak. The valedictory ceremony of the camp was organized on 31 May 2019 which was presided over by Brig KK Singh, Chairman of the School along with Col Gaurav Dogra, SM. The programme began with the lighting of lamp by the Chief Guest. On this occasion the participating students presented a brief but a mesmerizing programme which was highly appreciated by the audience. The students showcased their talent in Yoga, Zumba Dance, Classical Music, Street Play, Nukkad Natak, Art Work etc. In his address, the Chief Guest appreciated the efforts and the creativity of the students. He also conveyed his satisfaction for organizing such programme by the school administration. Pushpinder Kaur, the Principal of the school conveyed her appreciation to the students and concerned teachers. She also put forward a call for pro active approach from parents to identify, nurture & appreciate the creativity of their wards. In the concluding part of the programme, a power point presentation of the entire summer camp activities, was shown by IT Department of the School. The programme came to an end by the vote of thanks which was presented by Shallu Kapoor, Vice Principal of the School. |
