KULGAM, June 2: Decomposed body of a newborn baby believed to be abandoned by her parents was found by police in Wanpoh area on south Kashmir's Kulgam district on Sunday.
An eyewitness told that the infant, which had been kept in a bag was abandoned across the road at Wanpoh opposite J&K Bank. Police official told that the baby girl had died when police reached the spot.
"A case has been registered under relevant sections of law and further investigations taken up," he said. Meanwhile, locals have demanded stern action against the accused. |
