| Div Com reviews power supply quality of Trikuta Nagar | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 2: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu today convened a joint meeting of Chief Engineer Power Development Department (PDD) along with his team and Ircon agency on the request of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS).
The meeting was held to discuss the issue of improving quality of power supply system in the colony.
Team TNWS including Rajinder P Kakkar, president along with Harshvardan Gupta, general secretary, Vijay Gupta secretary, Rajni Rohmetra joint secretary and N K Bali joint secretary raised several issues and demands during the meeting. They demanded quality power supply, establishment of a control room of PDD exclusively for Trikuta Nagar to register their complaints, help line number for 24/7, to know the status of frequent shutdown and appointment of responsible authority to deal with the residents. The team TNWS said that Ircon agency has no such system to immediately respond to the complaints adding that the upgradation of power supply system carried out by the company is not upto the mark.
Sudhir Gupta, Chief Engineer PDD explained the detailed action of his organization and expressed helplessness because of non-cooperation of Ircon agency adding that even his field staff is performing their duties with full dedication.
Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu listened to the delegation patiently and the details presented by the Chief Engineer PDD while he expressed his displeasure over lack of coordination between the PDD and Ircon. |
