| ARTO Samba troubles people | | |

SAMBA, June 2: The Samba people have accused the ARTO of subjecting them to inconvenience. According to sources, dozens of files seeking registration are pending approval. Few days ago the special secretary to the Government Transport department also visited ARTO office Samba to ensure proper functioning of the office but the problem remains unaddressed.
A person said his frequent visits to the office for renewal of permit have borne no fruit. Another person is waiting for registration of vehicle for past one month. The locals have appealed to Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik and Transport commissioner to immediately transfer ARTO. |
