Private schools submit memorandum to JKPSA | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 2: A deputation of Private schools of Kathua met with the executive members of central body of Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools Association (JKPSA) and presented a memorandum. Sat Paul Mansotra President of district Kathua while presenting memorandum apprised the members about the problems being faced by the Private schools functioning in the far flung areas of district Kathua in confirmation / authentication of the annual result for the session of 2018-19 due to the non availability of recognition by the state government to the schools functioning up to 10th or 10+2 level although all such schools have been granted affiliation by the JKBOSE till ending March 2022 & March 2023 respectively. It was also revealed by the sufferers that even after the lapse of more than three months (April 1, 2019 to June 01, 2019) school managements are helpless to issue the school leaving certificate to the students who want to seek admission into other schools as CEO/ Dy. CEO Kathua are not ready to countersign / confirm even school leaving certificates on the basis of affiliation. General Secretary of the Association Ajay Gupta briefed that this matter for the grant of recognition on the basis of affiliation has already been brought in the notice of Sarita Chauhan (IAS), Secretary Education. No doubt Secretary Education had granted recognition on the basis of affiliation to 58 schools of Kashmir Division on 24/04/19 vide government order no. 174 Edu of 2019 and had still deprived of granting such benefit to the schools functioning in Jammu Division. To diffuse the crisis of confirmation / authentication of the results for the previous session 2018-19, Deputy Secretary to the government Tanveer-ul-Majid, (KAS) has assured telephonically twice but matter is still unresolved, he added. Kamal Gupta President of the association demanded from the state government to adopt a time bound mechanism on the pattern of the JKBOSE to facilitate the stakeholders. He also appealed to the authorities for swift disposal of all files by granting recognition on the basis of affiliation or to consider affiliation of schools which is granted by the state affiliation committee at par with the government recognition to eradicate delay, harassment and corruption. Prominent members who attended this conclave were Rameshwar Mengi (Vice President JKPSA), Er. Naresh Kumar, Mohan Sharma, Amar Singh etc. |
