DDC reviews RDD schemes, calls for synergized efforts to achieve targets

RAJOURI, June 9: District Developmental Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad today chaired the meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress of various developmental schemes in the district.
The key points discussed during the meeting include the latest status of bunkers, getting SECC ineligible deletion through PRIs, 100% generation of FTOs, SBM verification, handing over of movable assets to new Sarpanchs, handing over of Panchayat Ghars, registration of all panchayats etc.
The meeting was informed that out of 1892 bunkers (community and individual), work has been started on 1617 units. He further informed that construction work of 160 bunkers is complete and remaining 232 are near completion. The deadline for the completion of the bunkers has been set 30th June.
The DDC also took stock of block-wise pendency for the generation of 100% FTOs in the district. It was informed that Darhal, Plunger, Thanamandi, Kalakote and Sunderbani have maximum pendency. He asked the BDOs to complete the work at the earliest and said that no laxity will be tolerated in any manner.
Regarding SBM verification, the DDC took a review of the implementation of the scheme. The District Panchayat Officer informed that the second phase of verification is in progress and will be completed shortly.
While taking stock of the functioning of Panchayats and the assignments being handled by them, the DDC asked the BDOs to ensure that the panchayat works are properly executed with close coordination and involvement of sarpanches and panchs. He also directed the BDOs to ensure the presence of Sarpanches and panches in Gram Sabhas to ensure better results.
Regarding PMAY identification and instalment of Geotags, it was informed that block Qila Drahal, Rajnagar, Seri, Thamanadi and Budhal are in the red zone. The DDC directed to complete the work on a priority basis.
Several other issues like handing over of movable assets to new sarpanches, handing over of panchayat ghars and inspection of panchayats, pendency of court cases were also discussed in detail. The DDC asked the BDOs to ensure that panchayat ghars and movable assets are handed over to the newly elected sarpanches shortly.
DDC directed the officers to work with added zeal so that the set targets are achieved in time. He emphasized upon the officers to ensure accountability, transparency and better synergy between departments for better results and timely completion of the works.
