Discrimination with Chenab Valley | Govt fails to allot quota for GMC Doda | | Abid Hussain Wani Early Times Report
Doda, June 9: Civil Society Doda and Doda Development Front have expressed serious concern over failure of the government to allot 100 MBBS to newly sanctioned Government Medical College Doda. Expressing resentment and disappointment on the decision of the MCI and the Health ministry, Spokesperson Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev Civil Society Doda and Ghulam Hassan Pampori President Doda Development Front (DDF) questioned the intention of the concerned authorities behind the decision and alleged that the people of Chenab Valley are being ignored and it is a set back to the overall development of the area. Dev said that the aspirations of our young minds are hurt due to the callous attitude of those at the helm of affairs. He strongly condemned the decision of not starting the classes at Govt Medical College Doda during the session 2019-20 and thereby depriving the people of Doda of their rights. Ghulam Hassan Pampori demanded immediate action into the matter and urged the state government and the MCI to revisit the criteria laid for the start of first batch of MBBS at GMC Doda. Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev urged the governor administration and the central government to intervene and take necessary action by allotting at lest fifty seats to GMC Doda for the ensuing session. |
