RAJOURI, June 9: Dr Sushil Sharma whilst holding a day long health check-up cum awareness camp under the guidance of Shri 1008 Mahamandaleshwar Swami Vishwatamanand Ji at SVS Degree College for Women, Rajouri town during the culmination of weeklong Sri Bhagwad Katha highlighted the interplay between religion, spirituality and health, and their significant role in people's overall wellbeing. The camp was inaugurated by Swami Ji amidst Vedic invocations emphasizing let's all be disease free. More than 2000 patients were screened, evaluated and sensitized for various health ailments. Blood sugar, ECG tests were performed and medicines were also given as per the requirements. While interacting with the patients and attendees gathered for the awareness camp, Dr Sushil maintained that like spirituality, health is also a multi-faceted concept and thus open to numerous explanations and definitions. However, growing evidence suggests the relationship of spirituality with physical, mental, emotional, social and vocational well-being. Spiritual health, thus, permeates and integrates all the major dimensions of health. It is a dynamic state of being, reflected in the quality of relationships that people have in up to four domains of spiritual wellbeing. It is important to highlight here that all these domains, though seems to be separate are actually inter related and instrumental in forming a model of wellbeing with people at the core. |
