| JAJD organizes awareness programme on Health & Environment | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 9: The members of NGO Jiyo aur Jeene do organized a meeting as well as an awareness programme under presidentship of President Tariq Shah in which various issues concerning Health and Environment were discussed and brief awareness on Health issues were given. While speaking in the Program , the President said , " Our NGO has always been working for environment and our health can never be kept separated from the environment in which we live .Living in clean and neat environment guarantees good health. We keep awaring people to plant trees to have fresh and healthy air and conserve clean water for drinking. We must adopt the habit of throwing garbage at proper place from where it can be disposed off properly. Lack of clean drinking water results in a number of water borne diseases like diarrohea , typhoid , jaundice, dysentry etc. These diseases are A major cause of children's poor health and sometimes even death. The only way is prevention and keeping environment clean. Cleanliness can prevent to a great extent a number of diseases and ensures good health.These little steps can ensure healthy environment and hence a healthy life.We appeal to one and all to keep their surroundings clean and neat.
We appeal to district administration also that in many areas good initiative are being taken similarly some steps should be taken that ensure good health like providing clean drinking water." |
