BMS highlights industrial workers' demands | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 9: A deputation of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Jammu and Kashmir led by Ashok Choudhary Gen Secretary, Harbans Choudhary Vice President, and Ravi Kumar Secretary BMS met with the deputy Labour Commissioner Jammu province and submitted Charter of demands of industrial workers about the exploitations of industrial workers working in the industries engaged through labour supplier agent and other establishment in private sector employees. BMS demanded that wages / salary should must be given through Bank accounts and overtime payment be also paid separately through bank account, duty hours timing and lunch timing be also displayed in the factory / establishment entry gate as ten to 12 hours duties are being taken but no over time is paid, wage card and employment card be issued to workers with full particulars i.e. ESI Card Number, PF account number and full particulars of worker and postal address of the employer must be mentioned . the labour representatives alleged that there is too much exploitation of workers working in industries and the private sector in the state as no earned leave or gazetted holiday is being given as per law and also demanded that tripartite meeting of the stake holder be called for threadbare discussion on the demands mentioned above to protect the Rights of the workers. The Dy. Labour Commissioner gave patient hearing and assured that all necessary steps will be taken up to safe guard the working class said in a press release by the state General Secretary. |
