| Martyred Army jawan cremated with full military honours | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, June 9: The Army Jawan, who was martyred in Kashmir was cremated at his home town Kharote with full military honours on Sunday.
Heart wrenching scenes were witnessed with relatives and friends of the martyr wailing and sobbing as the body of this brave soldier wrapped in tricolour reached in his native village Kharote Kathua on Sunday morning. Thousands of people including his family members and relatives joined the funeral procession. The soldier was cremated with full millitary honours. The minor son of the martyr performed the last rites. Tarun Kumar is survived by his wife, daughter and son besides his parents. He has four brothers and one sister and three of brothers were also in Indian Army. He joined the army in 1997. Beside others Army officers, SSP Kathua Shridhar Patil and several political leaders including former minister Choudhary Lal singh, Former Minister Rajiv Jasrotia paid tribute to the martyred soldier at the village Kharote Kathua. |
