Pre poll promise of abrogation of Articles 370 , 35 A before assembly polls a hoax | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, June 13: Former Minister and President DCC Kathua Dr Manohar lal Sharma today said that recent press conference by Governor Satya Pal Malik in which he rejected any process for delimitation of state and termed it as a rumor has once again exposed the fake propaganda of BJP party which only believes in giving hollow slogans to divert the attention masses from the burning issues of the country. Manohar said recently, reports emerged that the Center was mulling to redraw the long pending delimitation of Assembly constituencies in J&K but with yesterday's rejection of any such by Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik in a press conference has once again exposed the dual standard of BJP leadership. He also questioned why BJP and its leadership is back stepping from the issue of delimitation. Dr Sharma said that the delimitation exercise will ensure equitable representation in the state assembly from all regions of the state and will further removethe regional discrimination plus will give equal political empowerment to all three divisions of the state Further Manohar advised BJP and its leadership to stop playing with sentiments of common masses by exploiting them by giving such hollow, false slogans and when matter comes to take action on their slogans BJP always back steps from such issues. Manohar further said assembly elections should be conducted after addition of more assembly segments and emphasized that the delimitation exercise be initiated in the state, keeping in mind the background, population, areas and geographical topography of the state. Dr. Manohar lal Sharma said BJP and its leadership to fulfill its pre poll promise of abrogation of article 370 and 35 a before assembly polls in the state and said hope this time they will not betray with people of the state.
