"Had not Govt of India (GoI) and state government banned over the use of polythene bags, and the same has been witnessed inside the parks, and this shows how the department is serious about the matter, said a local inhabitant of Gousia colony. People including senior citizens and patients used to visit this park for morning walk so that fresh air could give them sigh of relief, but the park has got polluted by littering the polythene and other non biodegradable items. Parks should be kept free from cafes and restaurants, so that the visitors will not throw garbage or other non biodegradable items at anywhere or in an open space, there remains a chance that the garbage could attract stray dogs inside the park, and with the result body will dare to enter into the park, said a group of local residents.
