Early Times Report JAMMU, June 13: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Thursday said that Jammu is waiting for a change but nothing can change till people decide to opt for it. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas, Munish informed the people that world is changing fast and so is our country. "If we keep on repeating our past mistakes we will surely miss the bus," said Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. He urged people to vote for him and give him a chance to serve them. "Ours is a democratic country and to choose our representative is our right. We need to think twice before casting our vote," Munish said. He regretted that the MLAs, who have represented Gandhi Nagar constituency, have only focused on few areas and have left the people on Almighty's mercy. "The performance of the leaders who represented us in the past is before our eyes. All of us know that their performances have been dismal. Now we are getting another chance. It's for us to decide what we have to choose," Munish said. "We need to take decisions on our own rather than allowing others to do it for us. Our leader has to be one amongst us. I have taken a plunge into politics with a pledge to empower a common man of Jammu. I am an ordinary person like you. I want to stand firm for the cause and betterment of my people, who have been at the receiving end for the past so many decades," he added. |
