IGP Jammu takes stock of security, law, order scenerio | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 13: M.K Sinha-IPS, Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone accompanied by Bhim Sen Tuti-IPS DIG DKR Range Hqrs. Batote visited Doda and held a Crime review meeting in which pending cases of 2018 and 2019 were discussed threadbare and officers were given directions to ensure that the investigation in these case is done professionally using modern investigation tools. IGP Jammu gave summary of Do's and Don't in investigation of NDPS Cases. All sensitive and sensational cases of district Doda which are under investigation were discussed and necessary guidelines given. A Power Point Presentation was given by SSP Doda wherein overall law and Order, Crime Position and other allied things were discussed. After conducting the Crime meeting, IGP visited Police Station Doda and held inspection of working of Police Station including CCTNS lab at Police Station Doda. Earlier in the day, IGP Jammu held Darbar of officers/Jawans that was attended by 250 Police personnel including GOs, NGOs and other officials of District Police Doda. SSP Doda apprised the IGP Jammu of the issues of District Police Doda and presented a brief resume of overall security and law and Order scenario of the District, besides elaborating on measures taken by District Police for the welfare of Jawans. The Darbar was also addressed by Shri Bhim Sen Tuti-IPS DIG DKR Range, who exhorted the District Police to rise up to the occasion and face the new challenges being faced by the security forces in the state. While addressing the officers/officials present in the Darbar the IGP impressed upon the officers and officials to work professionally not only in the field of investigation but in all other aspects of policing. IGP further urged upon the need to update skinsets continuously and learn new techniques of investigation. Apart from this, Police Officers were directed to focus on PCPG meetings to bridge the Police-Public gap and involve youth in friendly programmes. The IGP stressed that the District has been become militancy free due to the hardwork and sacrifices of our martyrs and we should remain extra-ordinarily alert and vigilant to ensure that peace and tranquility in the District is maintained. The IGP also held interaction with newly recruited PSI's and welcomed them to Police family and exhorted upon them to work hard and equip themselves with knowledge of law, use of information technology in detection of crime, etc. Later, the IGP visited DPL and held inspection of Stores and District Armory Kot. Necessary instructions were given for conducting proper audit of weapons including seized weapons and range classification of officer/Jawans of District Police Doda. |
