| MVD Reasi cracks down on traffic violators, realizes fine of Rs 1.60 lakhs | | |

Reasi, June 22: Motor Vehicle Department Reasi cracked down on traffic violators and realized fine of Rs 1.60 lakhs during a drive conducted here today.
As per reports, ARTO Reasi Shami Sharma along with Inspector CR Billoria and other staff laid a nakka at Reasi -Jammu road and intercepted the vehicles and conducted inspection of documents, overloading and other traffic violations. Around 400 vehicles including buses, minimum buses, tourists vehicles were checked during drive which continued from 8 am to 3 pm.
Talking to Early Times, ARTO Shami Sharma said that 180 vehicles were found defaulters and 80 vehicles were court challaned and compound fine of 1.60 lakhs was realized. He said that warning was also given to the some defaulters on violations including seat belt. ARTO said that the department has decided to laid such nakkas twice every week so that traffic violation be curbed. |
