Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 29: Editor Early Times Munish Gupta on Thursday cautioned people not fall into trap of the politicians, who are trying to take credit for the development works being carried out by Jammu and Kashmir administration. Carrying forward his mass contact programme......Munish said, "When politicians were in power, they didn't even look towards the people. Now as the elections are round the corner, these politicians are blowing the trumpet, by claiming that the development works are being carried out due to their efforts." Munish who would be contesting forthcoming assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency said, "I have met hundreds of people during past three months and have visited all the areas which fall in Gandhi Nagar constituency. Most of the areas are without basic amenities. Roads and lane are in shambles. Drains are choked, while filth and garbage greet the visitors." Munish said, "People of all these areas struggling to be heard, they up in arms against the politicians, who have represented them in the past. They are waiting for a change, but they (people) need to realise that they are the one, who can bring the much desired changed." |
