Reasi, Sept 16: The district administration Reasi has decided to encourage local women folk to manufacture cloth bags to facilitate replacement of polythene.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner presented some samples and ideas to local women for manufacturing carry bags from discarded clothes and rags. The DC Reasi was interacting with elected members of Municipal Committee and locals of Reasi town to discuss waste disposal and ban on Single Use Plastic, SUP.
She also stressed on the need to separate wet waste from dry waste before disposal. Inputs were also sought from the people by the DC. |
