| YCET organizes Engineer's Day | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 16: On the occasion of Engineer's day Steel and Gear Clubs of YCET Organized Debate competition on the topic of "Importance of Technical Education on the Growth of Country"and Collage Making competition on the topic "Conservation of Water Technique" respectively. All the departments participated with zeal and enthusiasm. The competition was organized to aware the students about the fact that Water is prime life sustaining natural resource which cannot be created like other commodities. It is a nature's gift to all living beings on the earth. Unfortunately for our planet, supplies are now running dry - at an alarming rate. There is a dire need of water conservation and to know how to meet the current and future human demand. The participants from different streams participated enthusiastically in this event. The First position was secured by Shambhavi Sharma & Zainab-Ul-Nisa of Electrical branch and the Second position was bagged by Adeela & Ashish Kumar of Mechanical branch. The competition was judged by Er. Nidhi Jamwal, Administrative Secretary and Arti Tickoo, Lecturer in Communication Skill. In the debate competition Shambhavi Sharma of Electrical Deptt was announced as winner and Ritish Singh Chib of Civil Engg Deptt. as runner-up. This event was witnessed and judged by faculty members ,heads of other streams Er B R Verma chief co ordinator and Er Dinesh Gupta Coordinator planning and development.
