Kathua, Sept 26: Review meeting of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Kathua was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Raghav Langer in which threadbare discussion was held regarding functioning of Fair Price Shop and Kerosene Oil dealers.
Assistant Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Zakir Hussain Wani gave a detailed Presentation regarding functioning of the department with special focus on Point of Sale (POS) transaction, Aadhar Seeding, Supply Chain Management.
Asstt. Controller LMD, Kuldeep Raj, TSOs, Ration Dealers, Fair Price Shop owners and various other officials attended the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner Kathua was apprised that the process of weeding out of ineligible beneficiaries from different categories have already been initiated in district Kathua and three tier committee One at Village level, other at tehsil level and another at district level has been constituted which shall verify the lists provided by the Food Civil Supplies And Consumer Affairs Department so that the deserving beneficiaries can be included in AAY and PHH category and ineligible beneficiaries can be weeded out from the list and placed in the Exclusion category.
Deputy Commissioner was also apprised that 77% Aadhaar seeding has been done in respect of district Kathua and remaining 23% shall be achieved by all Fair Price Shop dealers by the end of October 2019.
In addition to this strict instructions were given to all the Fair Price Shop dealers to display the information board outside their respective shops where in the, Stock position, Rate of Food Grains, category wise and the contact number of the Fair Price Shop dealers shall also be reflected. They were also directed to install weighing machine in each Fair Price Shop and focus on providing quality food grains to consumers.
DC also instructed the officials to lay stress on POS based authentication and Aadhaar authentication transactions. Moreover, he directed the concerned authorities to maintain the record of all the public grievances and their disposal besides maintaining a separate record of all the grievances coming from different quarters. All Fair Price Shop dealers assured the chair that different parameters fixed by the department shall be completed within stipulated time period.
