Director Horticulture Jammu inspects fruit nurseries | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 26: Director Horticulture today inspected various fruit nurseries in different parts of Jammu district and instructed for impeccable production standards of the planting material to be supplied to farmers. During the visit to Horticulture Fruit plant nursery Pallanwalla, the Director laid emphasis on developing it on modern lines for catering to the needs of the local farmers and those of adjoining areas. Instructions were given to Chief Horticulture Officer Jammu to prepare a comprehensive DPR under MIDH scheme for the nursery with the components linked to production so that palpable results are achieved in a short span of time. The Director instructed HDO Khour to attend office in the Pallanwala nursery three days in a week and monitor the developmental activities personally. At Garhi Bishnah nursery, the Director was apprised by CHO Jammu that an amount of Rs 10 lakh was spent for its up-gradation in the year 2017-18 and a revenue of Rs 0.50 lakh was realized against the sale of plants during the current rainy season. Sub Divisional Magistrate Khour Anil Kumar Thakur also accompanied Director and assured him to take up matter with BDO Khour for their early redressal. |
