Renowned Bollywood singers to perform in All India Devotional Song Competition: Rakesh Wazir

Katra, Sept 27: A meeting of Navratra Festival's All India Devotional Song Competition Committee (organized by SMVD Shrine Board, J&K Tourism, J&K Bank & Shraddha Mh one in association with other organisations ) was held here today under the chairmanship of its Chairman Rakesh Wazir wherein threadware discussions were held with regard to its preprations.
While speaking on the occasion Wazir briefed that Chairman cum Managing Director J&K Bank R.K.Chibber will be the Chief Guest and Chief Administrative Officer SMVD Narayana Super Speciality Hospital Dr.(Brig). M M Harjai will be Guest of Honour in its inauguration to be held on 29th Sept.and would be inaugurated by them.He while speaking on the occassion elaborated that that during 9 day long competition renowned Bollywood singers will perform on daily basis beside performing their duties as judges of the competition
Wazir said that this year this would be 23rd competition and efforts would be made to increase its horizon and keeping in view this fact in mind,the all over India publicity for auditions and participation is going on ,through print and electronic media which are going to be held from 29th Sept..to 04th Oct. and its registration can be done at Tourist Office Katra personally or through phone on numbers 01991-232005,or at 9419915908.
Wazir elaborated that the Ist prize of the competition would be 3 lac and recording contract with Venus records & Tapes Ltd. and the pattern of qualifying rounds is 2nd & 3rd winners of the preliminary rounds will compete on 5th Oct.i.e. Quarter final.1st position holders of daily competition will compete with the winners of the Quarter final on Semi final i.e. on 6th Oct. for their entry into Mega Final to be held on 7th Oct. at Yog Ashram Complex and leaving aside Mega final, repetition of devotional song will not be allowed in quarter final/semi final.
Kumar Sharma as its Co-Chairman.The Committee for accommodation of media and out side singers include Virender Kesar as its Chairman and Shyam Lal Kesar as its Co-Chairman.Sanjeet Kumar winner of the competition is appointed as technical consultant. In addition to that a Committee was also formed for taking immediate major decisions will comprise of Rakesh Wazir Chairman All India Devotional Song Committee as its Chairman with Chairmen of all Sub- Committees of AIDSC as its members.
Wazir further said that as per past practice live telecast of the programme for all nine days will be made through Shraddha Mh One form 29th Sept. from 9 PM onwards daily besides its telecast on many other channels including JK media & Take One & 92.7 Big FM will be the Radio partner.
The meeting among others was attended by Shyam Lal Kesar, Rakesh Sharma, Virender Kesar, Ajay Sharma,,Sanjay Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Sanjeet Kumar,Pawan Kumar, Subhash Chander,Prabhat Singh etc.
