Jammu, Sept 27: Deputy Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Adv Purnima Sharma today flagged off the procession organized by Dharam Jagran Manch.
The procession was organized by Dharam Jagran Manch in the memory of Devi Devtas. Councillors ward no. 4 Sunita Koul, Shubh Lata Sharma, Anuradha Sharma, Naresh Abrol, Suraj Padha, Sunita Wazir, Vandana ji, Padha ji, Bhubneshwar Ji, Madhav Singh Thakur and Madan ji also accompanied the procession.
The ceremony started with Puja archana. Deputy Mayor flagged off and accompanied the rally. This was considered as a big step towards the remembering of our ancestors.
All the supporters and devotees devoted their prayers.
The procession started from Ward No. 1, Panjtirthi and went through Jain Bazar, Chowk Chabutra, Link Road, Shahidi Chowk, Gumat and ended at Jewel Chowk in ward no. 19.
The procession was open heartedly welcomed by the locals along the route. Amit Gupta, Corporator, Ward No. 19 also welcomed the procession and offered drinking water and Halwa to the supporters and devotees. |
