| Police arrest drug peddler, recover 180 gms charas | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Sept 27: Continuing its efforts against the menace of drug smuggling and its propagators, District Police Samba arrested 1 drug peddler and recovered 180 grams of charas under the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur.
A Police Party of PS Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur, Insp Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Baljeet Singh during surprise Naka checking near Swankha Morh, Vijaypur intercepted a scooty bearing Registration No JK21E 9854. During checking of the scooty 180 grams of charas wrapped in 7 Challis were found which were concealed inside the scooty. The rider of the scooty namely Bittu Ram son of Bhagat Ram of Swankha Morh was arrested on the spot and the contraband substance was also seized.
In this connection case FIR No. 148/2019 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at P/S Vijaypur and investigation started. |
