Advisor Khan inaugurates Sub Office of JK BOSE at Kargil

KARGIL, Sept 27 : Advisor to Governor, Farooq Khan, today inaugurated the newly constructed office complex of the Board of School Education (BOSE) constructed at a cost of Rs 81.69 lakh under District Plan.
The Advisor was accompanied by the Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan, Executive Councillor for Tourism Er Phunsog Tashi, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer-ul-Haq Choudhary, Chairperson J&K BOSE Prof Veena Pandita, Superintendent of Police Dr Vinod Kumar and other concerned officers.
Later, an impressive function was held at the new BOSE Sub Office.
Speaking on the occasion, the Advisor while congratulating the people of Kargil for the coming up of the new BOSE office in the district expressed hope that the new set up will be able to fulfil the desired objectives and mandate of BOSE in the district.
The Advisor said that the Governor's Administration is taking all out measures to ensure better service delivery to students especially those hailing from remote and far flung areas and it is being keenly considered that that locational advantages are minimized. He said that the up-gradation of information technology infrastructure at all Sub offices of BOSE is a part of the composite technology initiative which is being taken to ensure better services to the student community.
The Advisor also hailed the team of Chairperson J&K BOSE Prof Veena Pandita for having worked tirelessly for completing the form filling up process of students in a timely manner. He assured the CEC Kargil that Board examinations in the case of students from Kargil would be conducted before November 15.
Khan while endorsing the idea of the preparation of localized content for pre-primary classes said that requisite steps would be taken in this regard.
Earlier, the Advisor also met a number of public representatives and delegations who projected their demands and grievances before him.
Interacting with the delegations, Khan said that the Governor's Administration is keen to see Kargil emerge as an adventure tourism hub on the international level and concrete measures would be taken in this regard in the days to come.
The Advisor gave a patient hearing to all issues, demands and grievances raised by the deputations and assured them that all genuine issues would be given due consideration. He said that all genuine concerns would be fulfilled in a phased manner.
