Ramban encounter: Recovery of mobile phones from militants holds key to reach terror masters

Jammu, Sept 29: The Kishtwar police which has been probing the killing of case pertaining to killing of RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma, Weapon snatching incidents in Kishtwar District and killing of Parihar brothers with NIA is looking forward for various leads that led them to terror master who are promoting and abetting terror in Kishtwar.
As per the details available with "Early Times", after the elimination of three top rank Hizb militants viz Osama Javed, Zahid Hussain Sagar and Bilal Ahmed Dar in an encounter with security forces in Batote area of Ramban District, police today started working on possible leads from the mobile phones recovered from the slain militants. The sources said that the Ramban Police handed over the mobile android phones recovered from slain militants to Kishtwar police, seeking the help of mobile experts to extract the data from the recovered phones beside are working the SIM cards used in these phones by the militants from time to time.
The sources said that it is premature to say anything at this moment added that the mobile data holds key for the police to reach out the handlers who are the real force behind these militants and played key role in spreading the tentacles of terror web in communally sensitive Kishtwar District.
The sources said that the two weapons recovered from the possession of slain militants are the weapons that looted from PSO of DC Kishtwar and PDP District President Kishtwar Sheikh Nasir Hussain while the 3rd weapon that looted from the slain PSO of RSS leader is believed to be in possession of another Hizb commander Haroon Abbas Wani of Ghat Doda.
The sources said that nearly a dozen OGWs were booked by the police in various FIRs, however the sources did not disclosed the names of the persons booked in these FIRs.
It is pertinent to mention that Kishtwar police has already named seven persons in FIR No. 67/2019, registered in connection with the murder of RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma and his PSO Rajinder Kumar and manage to arrest six persons while another person manage to give slip to the security forces.
