37 cases settled in Permanent Lok Adalat in Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH, Sept 30: The Permanent Lok Adalat held at the District court complex, Bhaderwah disposed of 37 cases, realising Rs 91200 on the spot in different cases.The Lok Adalat was held for speedy disposal of cases under the patronage of patron-in-chief, J&K State Legal Services Authority, and under the guidance of the chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Bhaderwah, Ashok Kumar Shavan at Bhaderwah. In the Lok Adalat held under the chairmanship of Ashok Kumar Shavan chairman five benches were constituted in diffrent parts of Doda district in which 106 cases were taken up and 37 cases were disposed of and Rs 91200 realized. Many civil, criminal , MACT and revenue cases were also settled in the Lok Adalat. The Chairman DLSA , said: "A record number of cases were settled related to public utility services in Doda and Bhaderwah. People volunteered to resolve their long-pending disputes. "He said the permanent Lok Adalats were being organised to ensure speedy justice and save the people from lengthy court proceedings as there were minimal chances of further litigation or dispute in the cases solved in Lok Adalats. The cases were settled with the mutual consent of both parties.He said a free of cost legal aid clinic at Bhaderwah was providing justice on the doorsteps of people and educating them on various social issues from time to time. Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee Bhaderwah Sub Judge Renu Dogra Gupta, Munsiff Judge Sandeep Sen, Secretary DLSA Sushil Singh and Bar Association Bhaderwah members were also present on the occasion. Meanwhile DLSA and TLSC Bhaderwah also organised an awareness programme on solid waste management and save water in the premises of BVM School Gatha , Bhaderwah in which all PLVs participated and Advocate Mohd Majid Malik also spoke on the occasion and threw light on the topic.
