Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road is one of the vital roads in Pir Panjal region as 90% of Mughal Road traffic moves on this road and a multifold increase in vehicular movement has been recorded on this road in last five years but single lane road is posing severe hardships for people.
Sources further said that the central government has proposed a two lane road from Rajouri to Surankote which will pass from Thanamandi, Dehra Ki Gali and Bufliyaz to reach Surankote.
The existing road will be widened and a two lane road will be constructed on it, which will reduce the traffic congestions and also reduce the journey time.
