Hollow slogans can't mislead people anymore: Munish | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 30: Editor, Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Monday cautioned people not to get carried away by the hollow slogans being raised by the politicians. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in Bhour Camp, Munish said, "Leaders who have failed on all the fronts in the past are out to lure us once again by resorting to lip service." "It seems that politicians have forgotten that times have changed and people have become politically mature. They are aware about the performances of the leaders, whom they voted for in the past," said Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. He said, "The areas which I have visited during the past four months depict a sorry state of affairs. People in most of the areas ask only one question. Why do politicians disappear after getting elected?" Munish said that his mass contact programme has provided a chance to people to highlight their problems and bring to fore the difficulties they have been facing despite voting for their representatives in droves. "Leaders should wake up and stop selling slogans and dreams as people know the difference between the right and the wrong." |
