| Deputy Mayor JMC distributes cloth bags | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 30: In view of the ban on Polythene bags, Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in collaboration with social activist Kewal Wadhera distributed cloth bags to the morning walkers and other locals of Ward No 1. The step was initiated towards the "Say No to Plastic" movement started by the JMC. Deputy Mayor made aware the locals about the harmful effects of plastic as it is causing a great damage to our environment. She appealed to the locals to restrict the use of plastic.
The locals applauded the initiative of Deputy Mayor, JMC and the locals in return assured the Deputy Mayor that they will completely avoid the use of plastic and are ready to cooperate with such initiatives. |
