Shat Chandi Maha Yagya concludes at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine with Purna Ahuti

Katra, Oct 7: Shat Chandi Maha Yagya organised by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board at the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji during Navratras for peace and prosperity, concluded today with Purna Ahuti, on the auspicious occasion of Mahanavami.
Simrandeep Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board; Vivek Verma, Additional CEO; Naresh Kumar, SDM Bhawan; other officers and staff of the Shrine Board, besides a large number of pilgrims participated in Purna Ahuti and other religious ceremonies performed amidst Vedic Mantras on the occasion.
A group of 27 pandits led by Prof. Vishwamurti Shastri performed the Maha Yagya.
It is pertinent to mention that the Bhawan of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji, Atka and the area surrounding it were specially decorated with flowers brought from various parts of the country and abroad. Other special features of arrangements during these Navratras were formally dedicating gold plated Dwar of traditional holy Cave to the pilgrims for darshans and, besides, bhajan and bhaint performances by the renowned artistes, including Hansraj Hans, Gurdas Maan, Sonu Nigam, Anuradha Paudwal, Jaspinder Narula, Kavita Paudwal, Lakhwinder Lakha, Lakhwinder Wadali, Pankaj Dhawan, Kumar Vishav, Swami Budhiraja, Harbans Lal Bansi, Jyoti Prakash and Mohit Chopra.
The Shrine Board had also made elaborate arrangements for facilitation of the pilgrims who visited the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji during Navratras, which included round the clock water and power supply all along the track leading to the Shrine and in the Bhawan area, sanitation, availability of special fast related food at the catering outlets of the Shrine Board, etc.
The pilgrims visiting the Holy Cave Shrine lauded the arrangements made by the Shrine Board for their facilitation. They were highly appreciative of the flower decoration besides the newly gold plated Dwar of traditional Cave which has been dedicated for darshans of the pilgrims.
