Tough stand of Jammu based leaders forces PDP to defer meeting with Mehbooba Mufti | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 7: Decision of Jammu based PDP leaders to cancel meeting with party president Mehbooba Mufti has raised many eye-brows because decision was taken during late Sunday evening during an emergent meeting in which half a dozen senior leaders were present. Credible sources revealed that it was all due to stand taken by some Jammu based PDP leaders that proposal to meet Mehbooba Mufti was deferred despite the fact that administration had given permission for meeting at 12 noon on Monday. "Some Jammu based leaders argued that there was no reason to cross all limit of sycophancy when party high command has not shown any respect for the aspirations and wishes of the people of this region", sources said and added that some Jammu based leaders, whose names were figured in the list refused to go to Srinagar to meet Mehbooba Mufti just for the sake of sycophancy. Sources said that Jammu based party leaders who have a sense of dignity and honour have refused to go to Srinagar and this tough stand has forced "sycophant" leaders to defer the meeting for time being. As reported exclusively by the Early Times in its Sunday edition that serious differences were reportedly been emerged with Jammu based leaders for meeting with Mehbooba. Credible sources revealed that during the meeting held at party office some leaders raised question over visiting Srinagar to meet Mehbooba Mufti. They said that party leadership has abandoned Jammu region and party was openly purusing separatist and anti-Jammu agenda so there was no reason to take any initiative. |
