Jammu, Oct 7: Mahanavmi is the final day of Navratri celebration. For celebrating this day to commemorate and invoke the blessings of Goddess Durga, students, teachers and parents of Kartar Public School performed Havan pooja in a traditional way. Rajeev Jasrotia, former Minister was the chief guest. Chairman of the school Er. Nirmaljit Singh AMN, Principal Harpreet Kour were also present on the occasion. Ex Minister also performed Arti of Goddess followed with beautiful bhajan recitals by the parents and teachers former Minister Rajeev Jasrotia, while speaking on the occasion, congratulated the students and told about the importance of Navratri.
He said that the nine reflections of Maa Durga depict the various shades of life and how one should be always thankful to the Almighty and should accept the life as the blessings of the creator of the universe.
Harpreet Kaur, Principal of the school, while welcoming the gathering congratulated and greeted all on the auspicious day of Mahnavmi and Vijaydashmi. In the end feast as Prasad was also served on this holy day. |
