3rd Association cup Taekwondo championship concludes

Jammu, Oct 7: Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association organized 3rd Association Cup Taekwondo Championship in Collaboration with Directorate of Physical Education and Sports University of Jammu w.e.f 4thof October to 7th of October at Gymnasium hall, University of Jammu. Total 900 Players from different Districts of J&K participated in this mega event.
The welcome address was done by Anuj Sharma organising Secretary JKTA
The Chief Guest of the closing ceremony was Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba (Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical education) University of Jammu, S.M. Bali Secretary General handball federation of India and Ajay salaan district Social welfare officer Jammu was guest of Honour. Vikas Gupta Joint Secretary Judo Federation of India & Gen. Sec JK Judo Association.While Sandhya Gupta chairperson WCMP, P.C. Sharma (Petron JKTA), DN Pangotra President JKTA, Jagjit Singh Gen. Sec JKTA, Subash Shastri (President National Majdoor Sang and Secretary Qwan Ki do Association of J&K) Ramesh Chander (Joint Secretary JKTA, Manager Brahman Sabha), Rajan Gupta Principal Little Angel Public School, Jai Bharat Sr. Wrestling Coach, Pawan Grover, Kapil pangota were the special guests of the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba (director physical education & sports Deptt. JU) congratulated JKTA for organising this mega event. He said that JKTA playing a great role in giving excellent platform to the youth of J&K by organising such kind of events, he also assure every possible help regarding development of taekwondo and organising of Taekwondo events in future. All Bouts are officiated by National referees' TFI and under the Supervision of Atul Pangotra Chairman Referee Committee TFI.
In the End chief, guest of Honours and special guests distributed medals and trophies to winners.
The whole junction was presided over by Rajinder Singh. The vote of thanks was presented by Atul Pangotra. In the competition Aaprajita Bhasin won Silver Medal and Aashray Bhasin won Bronze medal in their respective category.
