11 Singers qualified for final of devotional song competition

Katra, Oct 7: A total of 11 singers have qualified for final of All India Devotional Song Competition.
The semi final of Navratra Festival's All India Devotional Song competition organized jointly by SMVD Shrine Board, Deptt. of J&K Tourism, J&K Bank,Shraddha Mh One with active support of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Speciality Hospital, Surya Milk ,Tiwari Super Speciality Hospital Farokhabad,Pure Roots Herbals, Nidesh Builders Jammu Pvt.Ltd. Divinity,92.7 Big FM,Yog Ashram Trust ,District Administration and the local host community.
The event started with lightning of traditional lamp by Commandant CRPF Jatinder Kumar Gupta,Former Minister of State Finance,Planning Ajay Nanda ,Celebrity Singer Rampy Saaz, in presence of President Muncipal Committee Katra Shashi Gupta ,Chairman Devotional Song Committee & President Hotel Association Katra Rakesh Wazir, Yog Acharya Swami Yoga Nand ji Maharaj , Former Winners Chaman lehari,& Majotra, Shiv kumar Sharma,Virender Kesar, Prabhat Singh etc.
In this Semi Final, out of 15 participants who were 1st positions holders of preliminary rounds and winners of quarter final, 11 participants qualified for the Mega Final to be held at Yog Ashram Complex Katra including Pranbha Sharma from Jammu, Ananya Sharma from Udhampur, Rashpal and Karpal Brothers from Amritsar ,Simran S from Punjab , Raksha Sharma from Chandigarh , Sukhjinder jeet from Amritsar , Mahinder Soni from Jammu, Rajiv Salotra from Jammu Ayush Singh from Reasi Mahima Choudhary from Jammu, Aarshi Kalash from Udhampur and 01 contestant namely Simran Simmy from Ludhiana was kept in the waiting list .
The final of the competition would be held today and the winner will be awarded with Gold worth Rs 03 Lakh besides recording contract with Venus Records & Tapes Ltd. and likewise the 2nd position holder will get gold worth 1 lac and the third prize is gold worth 50,000/-.
The Devotional Song Competition semi final was adjudged by the panel of experts in music including celebrity Singer Rampy Saaz Prof. Anupama Sharma, Lecturer Music Govt.Degree College Parade, &Performed abroad & in India, USA, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela & Bangladesh etc.Dr.Surinder Kumar Sharma HOD Govt. Degree College Sunni Shimla and Dr.C L Verma Ex.Chairman Post Graduate University of Himachal Pradesh.
Famous celebrity singer Rampy Saaz who had come all the way for performing in the event enthralled the audience with his melodious songs and the total environment of the venue became spiritual and the people were seen dancing on his tunes and Chaman Lehari and Nikhil Majotra who are former winners this Competition too gave their presentations and sang beautifully.
The proceeding of Competition were conducted by Rakesh Wazir who is also the Chairman of the said Competition.
