Cong leader Hoshiar Singh laments JMC's lackadaisical approach | | Dr. Simrit Kahlon | 10/11/2019 10:16:31 PM |
| Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 11: Criticizing Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for its lackadaisical approach in Ward No 60 and 64, Congress leader Thakur Hoshiar Singh said that the condition of lanes and drains is in terrible shape in these wards. Addressing a press conference here today at Congress Office Durga Nagar Sec1, Ward No 64, Hoshiar Singh said that in Ward No 60 comprising of Mohalla Masjid Paloura, the drains need to be grilled while the lanes need tilling since they are in very bad shape. In Ward No 64 Durga Nagar Enclave, Lane no 1, the blockages in the nallhas are far too many and therefore the water overflows on the road adding that the streets are also in dilapidated condition. He further said that we requested the JMC authorities that if you cannot install the new street lights at least repair the old ones but no action was taken. Thakur Hoshiar Singh said that it is basically a common sense that the dustbins should be installed in the Wards, at least at places which are near temple and park in Durga Nagar. However, it seems that the JMC authorities are in deep slumber and do not want to work. Now to wake them up, a protest will be held against the JMC, he added. |
