Major reshuffle in Health Deptt on cards | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 11: Ahead of a major reshuffle in the Health Department of Jammu and Kashmir is on cards, doctors are lined up to get the key posts which are going to be vacant in the coming days. If sources are to be believed, by ending of this month the post of Director Health Services would vacant and Director ISM will be sent back to Ladakh as he belongs to Ladakh province when new UT (Ladakh) will come into effect. There are also rumors that Director Health Service Jammu may be sent back to Kashmir and the post of DHS Jammu will also vacant. "Keeping such things and present scenario of Jammu and Kashmir in mind, the administration is making a list of transfers and key posts would be filled as soon as possible to the smooth functioning of the department, "highly placed sources told and adding that the government does not want to take any chance to delay the process of the key posts in the health department. Sources further told that the concerned department has recommended the names of the doctors for the posts and final decision yet to be taken. Following, the various doctors, who are serving on different posts, are trying hard to be listed in the transfer list for prime posts. They have started political and bureaucratic links to get the prime posts and some of them got assurances that they would be placed on better posts. "Besides, one of the reasons behind that major reshuffle in the Health Department, is various complaints have been registered at parental department for the poor performance and corrupt practices of some officials," sources alleged, adding that why the department is about to tighten the nose of those officials by transferring them. |
